Call for Artists: FAQ [Continuously Updated]

WHO CAN APPLY?

Artists from all disciplines and career stages, as local representatives of one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Lebanon, Netherlands, Palestine, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, Syria and Turkey - there are no restrictions regarding ethnical origin or legal status.

One single participant may come from any country, with priority given to artists representing local realities relevant to the topics of the project (reflection about Europe and globalization amidst the so-called crisis of migration, populism and xenophobia).

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

The deadline for applications is 14 February 2018, at 12:03PM CET (Eurocentric all the way!)

The project partners meet on the end of February on an undisclosed, secret location, guarded by UN peacekeeping forces and evil minions to evaluate the applications and make a final decision.

The final selection is communicated to applicants on 9 March 2018.

HOW DO I APPLY?

You have to fill in an online form with some information about you, including posting links to or uploading your CV and Portfolio. You find the link to the form right here:

DO I GET PAID? HOW MUCH?

Yes. It depends on which country you are working in and which you country you are based on - all thinking of fairness and that all human beings are worth the same, and that creativity is invaluable. You can calculate some possibilities of how much you can get paid here:

WHEN IS THE RESIDENCY?

The artistic residencies (1 in each country) take place during 10 days, in which the 4 artists work together in the same place.

The residencies can take place between April and August 2018, because once the final selection of artists is made, we will have to match the availability of local partners and selected artists. So, e.g. the residency in Bulgaria takes place during 10 days in April, and the residency in the Netherlands takes place during 10 days in August.

Depending on the selection of artists,  the disciplines they represent, and the schedule of everyone's involved, the timing for each residency will be decided after the selection of artists is concluded.
